Our story

Taqueria Guanajuato was founded by Maria Morales, her husband, and their son, driven by a shared dream to bring the authentic flavors of their hometown in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Springdale, Arkansas. For Maria, this restaurant is the realization of a lifelong goal — to share the traditional recipes she grew up cooking with her mother and grandmother, and to create a space where food brings people together just like it did back home.

What began as a simple dream quickly became a community favorite, known for its authenticity and the unmistakable aroma of the homemade recipes that greet every guest at the door. At Taqueria Guanajuato, everything is prepared with care — from slow-braised meats simmered to perfection, to salsas made fresh daily.
